John’s a homeless person with a general love for life. Ted’s a successful businessman who takes life and all of it’s treasures for granted. The intersections of their lives and how they live provokes the question – “How will you be remembered?”

The One Long Night is the story of Jacob, a troubled man trying to ignore the things that go bump in the night – and numbed to things seen from the corner of his eyes.

Jacob has never been good at accepting reality. When his personal demons start to catch up with him, his attempts at ignoring them become less and less successful. He can’t sleep, can’t leave the house, and will eventually have to cave in to their agenda…

NeedlessFilms strives to be a dynamic community of motion picture enthusiasts working together to the common film-making goals. Currently all of our members are located in the California High Desert area.

This group was established, of course, to make films! The motion picture process is very resource intensive, and sometimes finding the people/gear necessary is a daunting task. Hopefully we can help bring filmmakers in the High Desert area closer to their goals.

We are located in Ridgecrest, California. The primary founder, Mike Hill, has owned and operated a video production company since 2001 and specialized in wedding and event videography. We currently have ten fully developed story ideas, four of which are finalized screenplays, and three feature length stories in the works. Our story ideas are primarily Science Fiction and Suspense Thrillers, with a horror story thrown in there as well. Many more story ideas are on the board for development.

Our first film, The One Long Night, was a learning experiment for several of the more ambitious screenplays we have written. Before we get into our larger efforts, we wanted to learn lessons with story ideas that we weren’t overly attached to.
